There’s nothing but food to link a territory to its historic and cultural roots. In Emilia food is a way of life thanks to traditional working processes inherited from the previous generations. We would like to mention some products of our territory: Parmigiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale, Lambrusco, Tortelli and Cappelletti among many filled pasta types, quiches like Erbazzone or desserts like Spongata.

Many producers belong to consortiums or associations like Strade dei Vini e dei Sapori, whose purpose is to promote these products and let people taste their value. There are two roads dedicated to traditional tastes in Reggio Emilia: Colline di Scandiano and Canossa is the first, going from Via Emilia to the southern edge of the province on the Apennine, while the Corti Reggiane is the second one that stretches entirely in the valley until the Po river.

The production places worth a visit because only the productors can tell you particulars and secrets hidden behind these produces and give you the sensations of a daily contact with his own creations. Visits have to be booked with the associates and products can be bought as well.
